The Yellow Group is for toddlers between 1 to 3 years old.
My name is Verena. Originally, I am from Upper Austria, but I moved to Vienna in 2021.
I cannot wait to be a part of the Yellow Group team at the Vienna English Preschool and I am really looking forward to meeting every unique child. J.
I completed the College for nursery education with additional training in early years education in 2017. I have always enjoyed spending time with children, babysitting for different families, helping in a children’s choir, doing an internship in a kindergarten in the UK and working in summer kindergartens before I even had my qualification as a kindergarten teacher.
These experiences helped me accumulate valuable knowledge and develop skills in the field of childcare.
After my graduation I went to the USA for a year to work as a live-in nanny.
In 2018, I began working as an early year’s educator in Upper Austria, where I took care of toddlers between the ages of 1.5 - 3 years, until I moved to Vienna.
Last year I worked in an English Kindergarten/Pre-school in Vienna, and I am really excited to be a part of the VEP team now.
I feel honored to be a part of the children’s crucial first years and will continue to strive to create the best learning experiences for them in a fun and enjoyable environment.
It is significant for me that each child develops a positive bond/relationship to their caregivers/ teachers which is the key for their learning progress.
A smooth transition from your home to our Preschool is my main focus, as well as catering to the specific needs of each child in order to ensure they feel secure, comfortable, and most importantly happy.
I am really looking forward to getting to know you and spending a wonderful time with your children while creating a cooperative partnership with you.
If you ever have any concerns, problems, or suggestions, please let us know! I am open to everything and wish your children only the best.
Good cooperation is everything and it contributes to the well-being of your child. My priority is that your child is happy J.
Hi! My name is Dorothy! I am very happy to be a part of Vienna English Preschool!
I earned a Bachelor of Education major in Special Education degree in the Philippines in 2010. I then taught in Kindergarten and Primary School for four years before I moved to Europe seven years ago. I worked as an Au-Pair in Switzerland and Austria for two consecutive years, where I learned to take care of newborns and toddlers. I fell in love with Vienna; hence, I stayed and studied English and American Studies at the University of Vienna and did babysitting jobs.
Working in the field of Education is my passion. I enjoy teaching, interacting, playing with children, and seeing the world through their eyes. It is an amazing experience to be a part of the early years of the children and in many aspects grow with them. In the same way, it is highly rewarding to witness them develop and acquire skills and knowledge as they grow. I am ready and very eager to guide and help your children develop their skills and abilities to reach their full potential and make a difference in the future.
As Maria Montessori once said, “Whoever touches the life of a child, touches the most sensitive part of a whole which has roots in the most distant past and climbs toward the infinite future.” It is an honour for me to be a salient part of your child’s developmental milestones. I will do my best to show the value of trust that is given to me by VEP.
Hi, my name is Ana and I come from Melbourne, Australia. I have lived in Vienna for 9 amazing years and feel so happy to be working at Vienna English Preschool.
After completing my education in Australia, I worked in the Retail industry where I was able to build my career for 8 years. During this time, I was able to gain plenty of experience and learn many skills from my mentors and team members.
In 2016 I began working as an English Native Speaker Assistant for a Kindergarten in Vienna. It was my first time working with children and instantly I knew this was going to be my new career. I decided to pursue early childcare and enrolled myself in a course that allowed me to run my own class in a bilingual daycare in the heart of Vienna. During this time, I realized more and more how rewarding teaching children really is. After 3 years of being a group leader, I decided it was time to pursue further education and this was only possible with me working at VEP. I joined VEP back in 2021 and was able to work in the Green and Blue Group. Within this time, I worked with the most amazing teachers who helped shape me into the teacher I am today. It was during this time I decided to further my studies while working full-time in the Blue Group. In 2023, I completed a Diploma in early education which has opened more doors for me and has helped me develop and evolve as a teacher and has given me new and fresh ideas to implement into the classroom.
I feel very privileged to be a part of a child’s early education journey, to witness milestones and help a child develop is a big passion of mine. Bringing positive energy and creating a healthy safe environment is what I like to achieve in a classroom. VEP is a very special place, with educators whose goals and ethos all align which then has created a wonderful environment for your child’s journey in early education. I’m very eager to meet you all too then build great relationships and memories together.
German & English teacher
Hello, my name is Alexandra and I am originally from Tirol. I have been living in Vienna and working at Vienna English Preschool since 2006.
Before I moved to Vienna I worked in America as an Au-pair for half a year.
During this time I mainly had the chance to see the educational system through visiting different kindergartens and I gained more experience working with children.
When I started working in Vienna English Preschool I took over the pre-school class, preparing the children with the right skills to start school. In March 2008 I moved to the toddler group to get more experience in early childhood education.
Since I had always dreamed of going to Australia to see how the school education functions, I spent four months working and studying in Australia.
I brought back a suitcase full of new ideas and projects, together with the Cambridge Certification in advanced English.
I have been on maternity leave since April 2014. I have enjoyed watching how fast my son, Simon, is growing-up. Being a mum has shown me how important it is, to give a child a happy and caring environment so they feel safe and comfortable. The child should be able explore and play and through that they will learn the most for their future development.
I am so happy and excited to be back in the VEP to support the education of your child.
