The Blue Group is for Preschoolers aged 5 to 6 years.
Hello, my name is Rizwana and I come from Birmingham, England. I have been living in Vienna for over 15 years and am a mother to two wonderful girls.
It was after college that I realised I wanted to work with children and my position as a classroom assistant at a junior school in Birmingham only strengthened my career choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent there and gained some valuable insight into the teaching profession.
I completed my training as an English language instructor in 2010 and started conducting English courses for adults and children at various language institutes in Vienna. During this time I was able to develop and enhance my teaching skills and learn new and fun ways of teaching children, which I immediately incorporated into my lessons with very promising results.
I soon realised that I was at my happiest when working with young children, which prompted me to pursue a diploma in early childhood education and care in 2015. During my studies I worked at the VEP as a group assistant for over one year and am now working as a pedagogue after completing the diploma.
Inclusive education is at the core of my philosophy. I value individual differences, interests and play. Providing equitable learning opportunities and care which meet individual children’s needs is of utmost importance to me.
I bring with me a wealth of new ideas, creative approaches and a passion to nurture children’s explorative nature. I am eager and feel privileged to contribute to the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of young children and am dedicated to providing a stimulating and fun environment in order for them to thrive and grow into happy and confident individuals.
Hello, my name is Celestè. I am a South African who has found a second home in the enchanting city of Vienna alongside my husband since May 2022. I'm excited to embark on a new educational venture as part of the Blue Group.
I earned my Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development, specializing in the Foundation Phase, in 2014. Throughout my studies, I worked as an Au Pair. Before that, I served as a classroom assistant teacher for children facing learning barriers and physical challenges. Following the attainment of my degree, I had the privilege of being a class teacher for a rewarding span of 7 years. My path has guided me through diverse educational avenues over 15 enriching years, revealing my true calling in education. A fusion of dedication and attention to detail propels me on a mission to instil knowledge, skills, and boundless enthusiasm in all the students I have had the privilege to teach, nurturing their potential.
Beyond my devotion to education, I'm captivated by childhood development and memory-recalling techniques. The rhythms of music and strokes of art hold a special place in my heart, while the marvels of nature and the art of gardening ground me. The written word becomes my canvas for creative expression and studying unveils new horizons. My spirit of adventure finds solace in travel and the enchantment of birding.
Just as the illustrious Sir David Attenborough once said, "A seed will not simply grow because it is placed among other trees. For life to exist, the conditions need to be just right to sustain that individual particle's existence." These words resonate deeply with my journey and aspirations, as part of the VEP family.
My name is Joey and I am both Austrian and US-American. I was born in Germany and raised bilingually which is why I speak both English and German fluently.
For most of my teenage years I lived in different countries and cities due to my passion for ice hockey which led me to travel all across Europe and even the United States. I played in various high quality organizations, including the Vienna Capitals where I ultimately met my wife. After a short professional career I decided to shift my priorities and focus primarily on my studies and my education. Now I live in Lower Austria, in the town where my wife is originally from.
Currently I am studying Theology and want to move into the direction of psychotherapy and pastoral care. I have a major interest in children and their development which is why I am excited to help kids develop at Vienna English Preschool. Through working and interacting with young children I am looking to gain highly valuable knowledge which will be of great value to me not only in my professional career but also my personal life once I have children of my own.
Over the years I have tutored many kids and teenagers in both English and German and helped them improve their language skills, both in speaking and writing. In addition to that I have coached and trained many young athletes; even some preschoolers!
It is in my best interest that the children are given the best possible opportunity to develop into kind, responsible and successful human beings. I will make sure that I help Vienna English Preschool give the children the best pastoral care possible so that they can become and achieve anything they set their minds to.

Hello, my name is Alexandra and I am originally from Tirol. I have been living in Vienna and working at Vienna English Preschool since 2006.
Before I moved to Vienna I worked in America as an Au-pair for half a year.
During this time I mainly had the chance to see the educational system through visiting different kindergartens and I gained more experience working with children.
When I started working in Vienna English Preschool I took over the pre-school class, preparing the children with the right skills to start school. In March 2008 I moved to the toddler group to get more experience in early childhood education.
Since I had always dreamed of going to Australia to see how the school education functions, I spent four months working and studying in Australia.
I brought back a suitcase full of new ideas and projects, together with the Cambridge Certification in advanced English.
I have been on maternity leave since April 2014. I have enjoyed watching how fast my son, Simon, is growing-up. Being a mum has shown me how important it is, to give a child a happy and caring environment so they feel safe and comfortable. The child should be able explore and play and through that they will learn the most for their future development.
I am so happy and excited to be back in the VEP to support the education of your child.
