Hello, my name is Rizwana and I come from Birmingham, England. I have been living in Vienna for over 15 years and am a mother to two wonderful girls.
It was after college that I realised I wanted to work with children and my position as a classroom assistant at a junior school in Birmingham only strengthened my career choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent there and gained some valuable insight into the teaching profession.
I completed my training as an English language instructor in 2010 and started conducting English courses for adults and children at various language institutes in Vienna. During this time I was able to develop and enhance my teaching skills and learn new and fun ways of teaching children, which I immediately incorporated into my lessons with very promising results.
I soon realised that I was at my happiest when working with young children, which prompted me to pursue a diploma in early childhood education and care in 2015. During my studies I worked at the VEP as a group assistant for over one year and am now working as a pedagogue after completing the diploma.
Inclusive education is at the core of my philosophy. I value individual differences, interests and play. Providing equitable learning opportunities and care which meet individual children’s needs is of utmost importance to me.
I bring with me a wealth of new ideas, creative approaches and a passion to nurture children’s explorative nature. I am eager and feel privileged to contribute to the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of young children and am dedicated to providing a stimulating and fun environment in order for them to thrive and grow into happy and confident individuals.
Hello, my name is Kyle and I was born and raised in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
I moved to Liverpool to study Sports and Psychology to learn more about two passions of mine. Following thispassion I began coaching football for a local youth team and followed this up with a summer in Minnesota, USA as a camp counsellor in a camp specifically for children with Aspergers and AHDH.
The experiences and lessons I learnt here instilled me with a strong desire to enter into the teaching profession at some point.
Since then I've worked as an activity leader for Education First Malta, where I lived for 4 years in a very international environment and thengaining my TEFL and TELT teaching qualifications. Using my TEFL I then taught English to volunteers coming into the UK to complete half or one year programmes.
I then completed my European Voluntary Service in Spain before travelling Europe working a series of jobs including a Montersorri kindergarten in Poland.
My name is Lisa, I moved to Vienna in July 2018. I have lived in the UK all of my life and therefore a native speaker. I have spent most of my adult life living in a small village called Caerleon in South Wales which has a fascinating history. Romans settled here and still evident are an amphitheatre, fortress, barracks and castle.
I have a true passion for working with children, I like to engage and motivate children but most of all, I enjoy watching them learn through play and have fun. I thrive when working with children. I have cared for children for the last 24 years, I have a son and daughter, aged 21 and 24. I have always played a key part in their education and understand the importance of this as a parent. I supported their Primary School for many years with numerous activities. More recently, I have cared for children on a one to one basis.
I completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification earlier this year. This experience has provided me with additional skills and I feel I am more equipped when teaching the English language to both children and adults.
I am a very caring, compassionate and empathetic person. I feel it is important to motivate, stimulate and engage children of all ages. It is important to learn through play, this encourages children to discover things for themselves, as a result they became very curious. I find it very rewarding helping and watching children develop.
Hello, my name is Alexandra and I am originally from Tirol. I have been living in Vienna and working at Vienna English Preschool since 2006.
Before I moved to Vienna I worked in America as an Au-pair for half a year.
During this time I had the chance to see the educational system through visiting different kindergartens and I gained more experience working with children.
When I started working in Vienna English Preschool I took over the pre-school class, preparing the children with the right skills to start school. In March 2008 I moved to the toddler group to get more experience in early childhood education.
Since I had always dreamed of going to Australia to see how the school education functions, I spent four months working and studying in Australia.
I brought back a suitcase full of new ideas and projects, together with the Cambridge Certification in advanced English.
I have been on maternity leave since April 2014. I have enjoyed watching how fast my son, Simon, is growing-up. Being a mum has shown me how important it is to give a child a happy and caring environment so they feel safe and comfortable. The child should be able explore and play and through that they will learn the most for their future development.
I am so happy and excited to be back to support the education of your child.
