The Blue Group is for Preschoolers aged 5 to 6 years.
Hello, my name is Rizwana and I come from Birmingham, England. I have been living in Vienna for over 15 years and am a mother to two wonderful girls.
It was after college that I realised I wanted to work with children and my position as a classroom assistant at a junior school in Birmingham only strengthened my career choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent there and gained some valuable insight into the teaching profession.
I completed my training as an English language instructor in 2010 and started conducting English courses for adults and children at various language institutes in Vienna. During this time I was able to develop and enhance my teaching skills and learn new and fun ways of teaching children, which I immediately incorporated into my lessons with very promising results.
I soon realised that I was at my happiest when working with young children, which prompted me to pursue a diploma in early childhood education and care in 2015. During my studies I worked at the VEP as a group assistant for over one year and am now working as a pedagogue after completing the diploma.
Inclusive education is at the core of my philosophy. I value individual differences, interests and play. Providing equitable learning opportunities and care which meet individual children’s needs is of utmost importance to me.
I bring with me a wealth of new ideas, creative approaches and a passion to nurture children’s explorative nature. I am eager and feel privileged to contribute to the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of young children and am dedicated to providing a stimulating and fun environment in order for them to thrive and grow into happy and confident individuals.
My name is Lisa, I moved to Vienna in July 2018. I have lived in the UK all of my life and therefore a native speaker. I have spent most of my adult life living in a small village called Caerleon in South Wales which has a fascinating history. Romans settled here and still evident are an amphitheatre, fortress, barracks and castle.
I have a true passion for working with children, I like to engage and motivate children but most of all, I enjoy watching them learn through play and have fun. I thrive when working with children. I have cared for children for the last 24 years, I have a son and daughter, aged 21 and 24. I have always played a key part in their education and understand the importance of this as a parent. I supported their Primary School for many years with numerous activities. More recently, I have cared for children on a one to one basis.
I completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification earlier this year. This experience has provided me with additional skills and I feel I am more equipped when teaching the English language to both children and adults.
I am a very caring, compassionate and empathetic person. I feel it is important to motivate, stimulate and engage children of all ages. It is important to learn through play, this encourages children to discover things for themselves, as a result they became very curious. I find it very rewarding helping and watching children develop.
Hello, my name is Ana, and I come from Melbourne, Australia.
I have been living in Vienna for the past 6 years.
After completing my studies, I dove into the world of Fashion for 8 years.
During this time, I was lucky to have amazing mentors that taught me many new skills and instilled in me the work ethic I have today.
At 24 years old, I took a year off to move to Manila, Philippines and learn more about my culture, it was during this time my love for teaching was ignited.
I taught English to young students and the fulfillment and joy I got from this was something I had never experienced before.
When arriving in Vienna, I took advantage of my English skills and worked as an Assistant in a Bilingual Kindergarten.
After some time, I decided to further my education so in 2019 I completed a course as a Daycare Teacher which landed me a teaching job in a Bilingual Kindergroup in the heart of Vienna.
I’m a very passionate person and believe the early stages of a child’s education is very important.
Through my time working with children, I have realized that teaching and building relationships is what brings me joy and makes my life meaningful.
Witnessing development milestones is something I feel very privileged to be a part of.
I’m always excited to share with children the skills to learn for themselves and motivate them to be the best individuals they can be.
I would describe myself as a friendly, creative, enthusiastic, empathetic, patient person who is eager to learn and has a strong love for my family and friends.
VEP has welcomed me with open arms, and I only hope to make amazing memories with the children and colleagues in the future.
My name is Sophia and I am very proud to be a part of Vienna English Preschool now!
I graduated in 2020 and started working as a kindergarten teacher right after my graduation
I am also a student at the Pedagogical University of Lower Austria. There I attend the course of studies in primary education, because I want to work as an elementary school teacher later.
For now, however, I am concentrating on the education I specialized in at school and that is kindergarten.
I am a teacher in Yellow Group and I am also doing German classes in blue group. My goal is to promote every child’s German language skill. I want to reach this goal through the method of play-based learning programs.
The following competencies can be won through my activities with your children in German classes:
- Enlarging vocabulary,
- Understanding words, phrases and sentences,
- Gaining listening comprehension,
- More clarity of spoken language,
- Developing sound formation through talking.
I am very pleased to hold my German lessons in Blue Group and I am thankful that you trust me with the important task of language development.
